We have 3 room types available, all with beach view, none more than 20 seconds from the beach, literally, the only thing in between your room and the beach is the lovely shady garden. Rooms are packaged on a full board basis we do not offer half board or self catering.
All of our one room chalets are furnished with a king size bed. All chalets have enough space to fit an extra bed and some are large enough to allow a bunk bed comfortably. The ensuite bathroom has an overhead shower, foot tap, sink & European toilet, the tap water is drinkable, coming direct from our well. A private veranda has seating and light for reading outside in the evening.
Our purpose built family chalets have 2 rooms, one room a king size bed frame with 2 single mattresses made up separately under one mosquito net, ensuring a good nights sleep for parents and the other has 2 built in bunk beds to sleep up to 4 children. There is also space for a cot in either room. The large (large enough for parents to be washing multiple children!) ensuite bathroom has an overhead shower, foot tap, sink & European toilet, the tap water is drinkable, coming direct from our well. All the family rooms have a private veranda with a sea view, with seating and lights for reading outside in the evening and overlook the play area in the garden.
Our traditional Malay A-Frames are deceptively roomy and have plenty of space for up to 3 beds, making them perfect for the budget conscious traveller. The private porch has seating and outside light for reading in the evening, with a garden view to the sea, the beach is less than 10 seconds walk away.
No there aren't, and we make no appology for not having any. The whole idea of Sea Gypsy is to be by the sea, have the windows open and listen to the waves and the breeze in the palms. We have large overhead fans and 24 hour electricity.
No, however it isn't ever that cold as we store it in black tanks that absorb the heat. If you require hot water for baby baths, please ask the restaurant staff and they will provide this for you. Please note that for safety reasons we will not provide you with extra hot or boiling water
There is no need for keys to the rooms at Sea Gypsy, upon check in at the island office, it will be recommended that you lock away your valuables in the office safe, purely for insurance purposes. Please note we will need an accurate account of monies and valuables being deposited in our safe.
Yes we love doggies, there has to be certain conditions however, number one being they are not allowed in the chalets. For a full list of conditions please click here
You can request a 5.30pm boat for a surcharge of RM250++ (per boat, not per passenger). However you may have to vacate your room at the regular check out time of 11am. We will not be able to tell you whether or not you can keep the room up till departure until the day before.
ALL of our chalets are near the beach, ALL are Sea View. Yes I know we're something special, our chalets are arranged in a semi-circle with each having a view of the sea unlike most other places that stack them one behind the other.
