From Singapore via Tuas & The Pasir Gudang Highway
- This drive should take 2.5 hours so we ask you to give yourselves 3
hours to allow for delays, parking and buying your jetty coupons.
- Cross the bridge
- Clear Malaysian Immigrations & Customs
- Go through Plaza Tol Gelang Patah which costs RM7.20.
- Continure straight along the highway to the exit for Taman Perling &
Pasir Gudang. Taking this exit will effectively have you turning
right.
- Continue straight to Plaza Tol Taman Perling, RM1.80.
- After the toll the highway becomes a normal road, keep going
straight, past Perling Mall on your right, across a flyover and you
are on the Pasir Gudang Highway (often heavily congested).
- Go straight along the Pasir Gudang Highway
- Past the sign to Kuala Lumpur & Johor Bahru
- Past the Shell Station
- Past another sign to Kuala Lumpur
- Past Petronas, Shell & BP stations all in a row
- Finally past the Mobile Station.
- Take the Kota Tinggi & Ulu Tiram exit after the Mobile Station,
effectively making a left turn and so heading north again.
This is route 3 and will take you all the way to the turn off for Tanjong
Leman.
- As a route check you will see an enormous shopping mall on
the left called Tebrau City, with a big Jusco Department Store.
(This is a lovely shopping centre with lots of good café’s &
restaurants, and decent toilets!)
- You do not have to go through Kota Tinggi as there is a by pass. If
you wish to fill up with petrol or if you have children and they
need to ‘go’ we suggest that you go through Kota Tinggi and use one
of the service stations there. Most toilets cost 20 cents, take your
own toilet paper! This will only add about 15 minutes to your
journey.
- *46 km from the end of the Kota Tinggi by pass (a large intersection
with signs to Desaru) turn right through a check point onto the
Tenggaroh Plantation.
- From the turn off to the beach is 28km.
- Follow the signs to Pulau Sibu, Tg. Leman (there is one left turn & one right turn).
- *There is a sign to Tanjong Leman at the Sedili turn off, 13 km
north of Kota Tinggi. This road is very badly maintained and we do
not advise you use this route.
- There is a security barrier at the entrance to the car park, if it's
been left open just drive straight in.
- Go to the left, round to the right, to the end of the first parking area, take the small roadway
that veers to the left, following it round to the right and you will
be in the main parking area that Tg. Leman jetty.
