Hi
everyone! We're Richard and Jade and our Mum owns Sea Gypsy. Now we're 14 and 13
respectively we can only visit during the school hols 'cus we both go to boarding school in Australia. We love the boat ride over to the island and we often go for snorkeling trips so we get to go on the boat
again. The snorkeling is really great.
Another favourite is to go fishing off the Kelong (an old fish farm on stilts). We saw a pink dolphin and a shark and loads of other stuff, it's brilliant. We even catch fish sometimes but we usually throw them back in 'cus we prefer to look at them in the sea. You can start diving at 8 now with Scuba Rangers! We both did that, then we became Junior Open Water Divers.
Once we found an old pit in the jungle. It was full
of tortoises that couldn't get out so we had to rescue
them, there were so many we had to get a wheelbarrow. One time there was a great
big Monitor Lizard in there but we watched him get out by himself. We often go
and check it out and those daft animals still fall in and need our help.
Halloween is one of our favourite
parties at Sea Gypsy, really creepy with tons of decorations and costumes. Jade was a
zombie bride last year but Richard missed it 'cus there are no school hols them :( Once
Henry, our dog, accidentally got the stuff from inside a snap light on him and
looked like spooky ghost dog!
Our Kid's Club is brilliant. We make things like kites, masks, jewelry and all sorts of stuff using anything we find on the beach or in the jungle for decoration. We even make paper out of old leaves. There's toys and games and tee shirt painting too.
Or there's always that swing in the shade.
