PADI Discover Scuba Diving Experience - RM 150

Discover Scuba Diving will let you try scuba to see if you like it. While not an actual scuba certification, you’ll learn how to use scuba equipment in shallow water and get a quick and easy introduction to what it takes to explore the underwater world.

Course contents

·         Full briefing on equipment, safety, communication and techniques

·         A beach dive to our artificial house reef  

* Duration: Approx 2.5 hours
* Minimum age: 10 years

PADI Scuba Diver Course - RM1000

If you are short on time or don’t want to spend your whole holiday studying before you can go diving, this is the perfect course for you.

Course contents

·         First three of five sections of knowledge development

·         Self Study

·         1 confined water training dive

·         2 open water training dives

PADI Scuba Divers are then qualified to dive:

·         under the direct supervision of a PADI Dive Master, Assistant Instructor or Instructor

·         to a maximum depth of 12 metres / 40 feet

·         obtain air fills, rent or purchase scuba equipment and participate in diving activities with the required supervision

 

*Duration: about 2 days

*Minimum age: 10

PADI Open Water Diver - RM1500

This is the world's most popular scuba course and has introduced millions of people to the adventurous diving lifestyle

Course contents:

·         5 knowledge review sessions plus video

·         Self Study

·         2 confined water training dive

·         4 open water training dives

Prerequisites: 

·         Swim 200 yards or swim 300 yards with mask, snorkel and fins

·         Tread water for 10 min.

Course Materials (included):

·         Open water manual

·         Dive tables

·         Log Book

·         International Certification

 

* Duration: about 4 days (can be split over 2 weekends)
* Minimum age: 15 years for an Open Water Certificate

* Minimum age: 10 years for a Junior Open Water Certificate

PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Course - RM1000

Further training under supervision of a PADI instructor in areas of diving that interest you.  This helps to increase your skills and confidence underwater. To qualify for the Advanced Open Water Certification you must complete at least 5 of the following specialities:

·         Deep Diving (compulsory)

·         Navigation (compulsory)

·         Night dive

·         Drift dive

·         Search & recovery

·         Peak performance buoyancy

·         Underwater Naturalist

·         Multilevel and computer diving

·         Project aware – fish identification

·         Boat diving

Course contents:

·        Self Study

·        Knowledge reviews

·        Thorough briefing session per speciality

·         One dive with instructor per speciality

Prerequisites: 

·         Open Water Diver with internationally recognised federation

·         15 logged dives

·         Course Materials (included):

 

* Duration: about 15 hours including five dives over two days
* Minimum age: 15 (12 for Junior Advanced Open Water Diver)

PADI has numerous specialty courses that introduce and train you for a variety of special diving activities or situations.  Please advise us if you would like to do any of the courses we are currently offering at Dan’s Nasty Frogmen so we can make sure we have all required materials in stock. We are currently offering the following specialty courses:

·         Deep Diver - 4 Dives
·         Drift Diver - 2 Dives
·         Peak Performance Buoyancy - 2 Dives
·         Underwater Navigation - 3 Dives

PADI Rescue Diver - RM1500

This course teaches divers to look beyond themselves and consider the safety and well-being of divers around them. Students are taught to manage more complex dive emergencies and apply direct intervention techniques to assist others in a diving emergency.

Course Contents:

·         Self Study

·         Knowledge Review and video sessions

·         10 Rescue development exercises

·         2 Rescue scenario dives

Prerequisites:

·         Students must be certified Advanced Open Water Diver

·         Hold a current First Aid and CPR Certificate

·         Proof of 20 logged dives

·         Course Material (included)

 

*Duration: 4 days (can be split over 2 weekends)

PADI Seal Team – for 8 to 10 year olds - RM1000

Made up of 5 Aqua Missions covering all basic scuba diving skills in safe and controlled conditions all aspects of the course are conducted under the direct supervision of the Instructor. This is the perfect introduction for children aged 8-10 years prior to taking their junior open water Diver certificate.

·         Video Session

·         Workbook

·         Pre-dive briefing

·         Learning assessment

·         1 beach dive per aqua mission

·         Debriefing
